My name is Ofelia Ferman and I am a Shared Dual Credit Advisor at Lee College, my mission is to empower high school students and their families to successfully navigate higher education. I provide essential guidance on course selections, academic requirements, financial aid, and resources for their future academic pursuits. By emphasizing academic advising and college and career readiness, I strive to create pathways for students to achieve their educational goals and build a brighter future.
As a first-generation Latina, I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. My educational journey has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to advocate for students and promote educational equity.
With a steadfast commitment to promoting educational equity and student advocacy, I strive to create meaningful change for students facing barriers to success. My journey has instilled a deep sense of purpose in me, driving me to foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
