About me
Dr. Cathleen Tyson-Ferrol is a dedicated higher education leader committed to expanding educational opportunities and support services for students in under-resourced communities. She currently serves as the Director of Educational Services and Partnerships at Lone Star College–North Harris, where she fosters strategic collaborations to enhance student success.
With over 24 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Tyson-Ferrol has held diverse roles in instruction, grant management, and program development. Prior to transitioning into academia, she served as a Clinical Coordinator in the Texas Juvenile Justice System, advocating for youth rehabilitation through education and counseling.
Dr. Tyson-Ferrol holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and a Doctorate in Counselor Education from Texas Southern University. Her work continues to shape transformative educational pathways, ensuring equitable access and support for all students.
