About me
With over 13 years of experience in high school programs, Jessica Flores currently serves as the College Coordinator for High School Programs at St. Philip's College within the Alamo Colleges District. Her professional journey began at Texas A&M International University in the Admissions Department, where she gained invaluable experience in higher education. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to fostering educational opportunities for high school students, specializing in dual credit, Early College High School (ECHS), and Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) programs.
Jessica is deeply committed to the belief that education should be accessible to all students. She consistently prioritizes student success, working to ensure that students receive the support they need to thrive. In her current role, she has had the opportunity to lead the development of three Early College High Schools from inception, as well as inherit and expand a P-TECH program that now offers a wide range of academic and career pathways.
Always striving to improve processes and procedures, Jessica continually seeks out innovative solutions to enhance collaboration between institutions of higher education (IHEs) and high school partners. She has developed and implemented tailored professional development opportunities for high school staff, ensuring that all liaisons, from seasoned educators to newcomers, are equipped with the tools necessary to elevate their programs.
Collaboration is a cornerstone of Jessica's approach. She works closely with various program leaders, department chairs, and deans to strengthen communication and build bridges between higher education and high school systems. Her ultimate goal is to create seamless partnerships that benefit students, ensuring they have the academic and career pathways necessary to achieve their dreams.
